The Bible holds the key to our most important spiritual need: a relationship with God. The Bible communicates a straightforward message of reconciliation with timeless relevancy. Everyone has questions about God, but a great many people are unsure where to look for the answers. If we approach God’s Word with misguided reasoning rather than humility, we will not understand how the Gospel message is relevant to us. In one of the most important passages of the Bible, Jesus explains, “except a man be born-again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Additional scripture passages provide the details:

  • The Reality:
“All have sinned” Romans 3:23; “The soul that sinneth, it shall die” Ezekiel 18:4
  • The Risk:
“And then will I [Jesus] profess unto them, I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work iniquity” Matthew 7:23
  • Our Need:
“Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” Romans 5:1
  • God’s Provision:
“For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8
  • Your Confession:
“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
  • His Assurance:
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life” 1 John 5:13

Would you like to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? Take a quiet moment to do that, right now. Pray sincerely, something like this:

“Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner and that I deserve your judgement. I do not want to be lost. I believe that Jesus died in my place on the cross; and there, He paid the penalty for my sin. I also believe that He rose from the grave three days later, defeating death. I am now placing my faith in Jesus alone to forgive my sin, and grant unto me eternal life. Thank you for saving me—in Jesus name I pray, Amen.”
